Saturday was the Grand Opening outdoor wine and oyster festival, and the first opportunity for the public to see the newly remodeled interior of the venue. Jackson Walter of Easton, Maryland, awarded the new downtown restaurant 5 stars and wrote “Oysters were great! For sure a lot of money & hard work has been put into redoing the place. Food is off the hook!!"

A portion of the proceeds from the day’s event were donated to Toys

for Tots, the annual Marine drive to supply needy children with a memorable Christmas holiday. Cash and new toy donations were also given by the public.  

The event featured oyster specials, Boordy vineyard wine tastings, and two America’s Got Talent finalists, escape artist and magician Spencer Horsman and singer Little Ozzy.

Bel Air's Newest Seafood Restaurant, Main Street Oyster House, Hosts Grand Opening Festival

The press and public are invited to attend the grand opening of Bel Air’s newest seafood venue, the Main Street Oyster House, for an outdoor wine and oyster festival and Toys for Tots fundraiser. There is no charge to attend. A portion of the proceeds from the day’s events will be donated to Toys for Tots and everyone is encouraged to bring a new toy for the annual Marine’s drive to supply needy children with a memorable Christmas holiday.

The grand opening celebration will take place at 119 South Main Street in downtown Bel Air on Saturday, October 12^th from noon to 10PM.

The event will be outdoors under a big top tent and will feature oyster specials, specialty beers, and wines from around the world. Activities for children will include face painting, pumpkin painting, a children’s costume contest, and a moon bounce.

The wine and oyster festival begins at 2 PM and features a live acoustic band, the John Maurer Duo.   Beginning at 5:30 is special entertainment by America’s Got Talent finalists Spencer Horsman and Little Ozzy. Baltimore escape artist Spencer Horsman will be performing amazing magic including his death-defying escape from a straightjacket while locked in a clear box full of water!

The festival continues at 7:30 with the ultimate Ozzy Osbourne experience, starring Little Ozzy, a pint-sized version of the singer to whom even Sharon Osbourne herself gave her stamp of approval.  At 10 PM will be the very first of the Oyster House’s weekly Dueling Piano show inside the newly remodeled restaurant.

All events are free to the public, however attendees are encouraged to bring a new toy or make a donation to the Toys for Tots campaign.
